This Privacy Policy governs your use of the VILLA 47 Mobile Application (“Application”), developed for Rialto Foods by The NXT Thing Now (Pty) Ltd. trading as NXT.
The Application is for customers or prospective customers of the VILLA 47 restaurant group and allows registered users to, amongst others features, browse menus, make bookings, gain access to promotions or specials and rate dishes.
By using the Application, you are willingly providing consent to the terms stipulated in this Privacy Policy.
For you to receive the value from the features offered by the Application and for the Application to function to the intended purpose, the option is firstly provided for you to register. Registration requires sharing personal information, by consent, as mandatory for a user profile. This includes your email address, mobile number, first name, last name, gender, birth date and dietary type. You are furthermore given the option to share a profile image and provide consent to receive ongoing communication messages and alerts to improve your experience at VILLA 47. You are required to choose a password at a minimum of 6 characters that is stored and encrypted according to best practice.
To offer you a quality service (like customer care or specialist offers), interaction information, such as when you respond to offers, download or use the Application, is stored. We store information you provide us securely when you contact us for help, in addition to the information provided pertaining to your interaction with the Application. To help improve your user experience, the Application automatically collects device information, including, but not limited to, manufacturer, model, platform, version, serial, UUID, IP, and Internet browser.
This Application does not collect precise information about the location of your mobile device.
Processing of your information refers to but is not limited to, the collection, storage, archiving, deletion, transmission, analysis or disclosure of your information. All such activities will take place in South Africa. If you reside outside of South Africa, your information will be transferred, processed and stored under South African Privacy Standards.
We may disclose User Provided and Interaction Information in the following instances:
You can stop the collection of information by the Application by uninstalling via standard uninstall processes available as part of your mobile device or mobile Application marketplace. You may choose to not to receive communication alerts in the Application settings.
User Provided Information will be retained for the duration you use the Application for and for a reasonable time thereafter, whereas Interaction Information will be retained and stored in aggregate. You may request the deletion of your User Provided Information by sending an email to info@villa47.co.za (we shall respond in a reasonable time accordingly).
We are committed to the safeguarding the confidentiality of your information. We provide all reasonable physical, electronic and procedural safeguards to protect the information we process and maintain. For example, we limit access to this information to authorized employees and contractors who need to know that information to operate, develop or improve our Application. Please be aware that, although we endeavour to provide reasonable security for information we process and maintain, no security system can prevent all potential security breaches.
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time for any reason. We will notify you of any changes to our Privacy Policy by posting the new Privacy Policy here and informing you via email or text alert. You are advised to consult this Privacy Policy regularly for any changes, as continued use is deemed approval of all changes.
